Over the years, inspired individuals have organized local events to raise awareness about the people of Surmang and discuss the efforts of the Konchok Foundation to address their educational needs.
A local event is a unique way to invite your community to connect to this effort to sustain Tibetan culture and provide the opportunity for education in an impoverished area of eastern Tibet.
These events can take all shapes…
performance | sports | lecture
slide show | celebration | salon
Consider hosting one of the following:
– a cultural event, partnering with the local Tibetan community
– a sports event, raising funds in a 10K run or longer bike ride
– a wine tasting with friends at someone’s home
– a slide show at your local library or center
Over the years, individuals and communities have come together to organize events of these kinds in various cities from Boston to Boulder, and we invite you to be creative about other possibilities.
